ECOVACS launches new DEEBOT vacuums in Australia & NZ
ECOVACS has released three new robot vacuum cleaner models in Australia and New Zealand, each targeting different household needs with updated cleaning technologies and new hardware features.
New product lineup
The new models - DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, DEEBOT T50 MAX PRO OMNI, and DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI - feature advancements in suction power, mopping systems, and automated cleaning stations, according to the company. All three products are available from major electronics retailers as well as the ECOVACS online store, with prices ranging from AUD $1,499 to AUD $2,499.
Flagship model
The highest-priced offering in the new range is the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI, which retails for AUD $2,499. The product's main highlight is the OZMO ROLLER Instant Self-Washing Mopping System. This system continuously cleans the mop during use, ensuring hygienic cleaning with no cross-contamination, even when tackling large or stubborn stains, due to its high-speed roller spinning at 200 RPM and concentrated pressure. The model also includes AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni-Approach Technology, TruEdge 2.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning, and ZeroTangle 2.0 Anti-Tangle Technology. The device stands at 98mm in height, allowing for cleaning beneath most furniture, and is equipped with 18,000 Pa suction.
Suction for families and pets
Targeting family households and pet owners, the DEEBOT T50 MAX PRO OMNI is priced at AUD $1,799. This model features 'BLAST' (Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology). This improves airflow and combines with the suction power of 18500pa to deliver vacuuming, particularly of larger particles. It combines with Zero-Tangle 2.0 and OMNI Station technology, offering hands-free cleaning and convenience. The manufacturer claims the technology is suitable for removing dried mud, pet food, kitty litter, and other large debris from various floor types, an area where robotic vacuums have historically encountered challenges.
Ultra-slim design focus
The most affordable new model is the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI, with a retail price of AUD $1,499. This device is 81mm tall and features a Fully-Embedded dToF LiDAR System alongside the TruEdge 2.0 Technology for edge adaptation. It combines advanced features and functionality in a slim design. At 81mm tall, it navigates low spaces, while the Fully-Embedded dToF LiDAR System and TruEdge 2.0 Technology ensure precise edge adaptation and 100% cleaning coverage. Its powerful 15,000Pa suction, ZeroTangle 2.0 Technology prevents hair tangling with a near-zero rate, and the OMNI Station's hands-free features set a new standard for efficiency. AIVI3D 3.0 OMNI-Approach Technology intelligently detects and tracks obstacles in real-time, using their contours for precise edge cleaning.
Retail and availability
The new DEEBOT models are now listed for purchase via retailers including Bing Lee, Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Retravision, Robot Specialist, The Good Guys, and the ECOVACS online store. All models are also distributed in New Zealand, aligning with the company's aim to supply home robotics options on both sides of the Tasman.
Industry scope
ECOVACS, which has been active in home robotics for over 27 years, has positioned these launches to address a variety of Australian and New Zealand household cleaning needs. The company's statement highlights the adaptability of their new models for different floor types, cleaning routines and levels of automation, with the goal of integrating these appliances into everyday domestic activities more seamlessly.
